The Fall of Christianity

Are we in the last days? According to the Word of God there will be a great falling away from the truth. We see this happening today. Prosperity without responsibility. With the financial crisis facing us today we see no one taking responsibility for causing this mess. Are there no Christians in those financial institutions? I am sure if they were asked 'do you believe in God' they would say, YES! But are they willing to admit wrong doing, NO! Business as usual is the word of the day. When will we look deep inside ourselves and admit that we are not of the same character as the early fathers were. Will we be judged differently than those great men of the past? Will we be given more leeway because we think we are doing nothing wrong because everyone is doing it? Ask yourselves what does it mean to be a follower of Jesus and how then should welive in these last days.

The 4 Great Deliverances in a Christians life

    1. From sins, judicially, through the imputed righteousness of Christ. Ro. 3:21-4:25
    2. From sins, experientially, through the shedding of God's love. Ro. 5:1-11
    3. From hereditary sin, judicially, by inclusion under the new headship of Christ. Ro. 5:12-7:6
    4. From hereditary sin, experientially, through the inward operation of the Holy Spirit. Ro. 8

These come from the writings of J.Sidlow Baxter "His Deeper Work In Us". According to Baxter few Christians arrive at the 4th deliverance. They continue to struggle with the flesh.
